This global provider of wireless communications infrastructure recognized the need to move from their physical data centers to Azure as part of a cloud first initiative set by executive leadership. They were looking to avoid expensive data center hardware and licensing costs prior to impending renewals. In addition, they needed to move legacy applications that couldn’t be modernized before hardware expirations. The customer required an accelerated build out of a central landing zone for a timely exit from on-premises and other cloud provider data centers.

The Solution

3CLOUD SUPPORTS CLIENT’S CLOUD FIRST INITIATIVE WITH AN AZURE MIGRATION.

3Cloud engaged with this large global wireless solutions client to design and build a secure foundation paired with an Azure VMware Solution (AVS) in preparation for migrations. The deployment of AVS was inclusive of a complex Zero Trust design that enhanced the company’s security posture. 3Cloud partnered closely with Microsoft’s AVS product team to accelerate the implementation, and the solution we provided enabled the client to expedite their migration to Azure.

The Results

3Cloud provided a timely design and build out of a scalable Azure foundation which will support future Azure services. Our engagement with the customer helped them to migrate targeted virtual machines from on-premises into Azure, along with accelerating their pathway to migrate an additional 600+ VMs. In addition, security was enhanced with the design and build out of a highly secure, Zero Trust AVS environment.
